For an in-depth look at Vitamin K2 and a comparison of MK-Seven and Regulate, check out Vitamin K: A General Guide. Vitamin K2 is the ultimate calcium regulator. Calcium regulation is the hallmark of dental, bone, artery, and cell health. Of course, calcium is an incredibly important mineral in our body and thus should be in our diet as well. But it must be in the right place.

Blood calcium is the primary regulator of Parathyroid Hormone (PTH) secretion, which can be thrown off by consuming more phosphorus than calcium (See blog post: 'Meat in Context'). Otherwise, the vast majority of calcium we get should be in the bones.

High phosphorus intake, without adequate calcium intake, will raise PTH, causing calcium to be pulled out of the bones and into the blood. When this becomes chronic, it can result in osteoporosis and other osteo-related conditions.

Both magnesium and Vitamin K2 play the role of directing calcium to where it belongs.

When calcium is deposited into the soft tissues,
the buildup results in soft tissue calcification, leading to stiff and aching muscles.

When calcium is deposited in the blood vessels and arteries, it leads to arterial plaque, which can cause serious cardiovascular issues and high blood pressure.

During stress, calcium floods into the cell, causing cellular inflammation, excitation, and even cell death.

Vitamin K2 is crucial in pulling calcium out of the soft tissues and the arteries and directing it back into the bone, preventing harmful buildup.

These above issues are some of the main culprits of aging.

    MK

I live an overall very healthy lifestyle, therefore I haven’t noticed any significant perceptible effects from taking MK-7 in particular. However, I have a lot of trust and faith in Lifeblud and the quality of these supplements and products. I also understand the importance and benefits of supplementing with a quality MK-7 product as our diets and modern environment require it and have left the majority of us majorly deficient. I would need to get blood work and scans done, to showcase demonstrative affect, but I am very happy with this and the rest of Lifeblud’s supplements. The affordability. Quality. Transparency. Sourcing. And integrity that has been put in and demonstrated by the company and Adam Marafioti has won my confidence and satisfaction.
