This leads us to new possibilities of understanding illness, disease, and wellness from a true holistic perspective, integrating light, water, electricity, magnetism, polarity, frequency/vibration/resonance/sound, into our understanding of the material and chemical.
Some other concepts that have been disproven, and are not compatible with bioenergetics are:
- cell pumps and channels
- pathogens (microorganisms) as the cause of illness
- genetics as the cause of heredity and disease
- DNA as fixed and stable
- existence of other cellular machinery (ribosomes, endoplastic reticulum etc)
Bioenergetics provide a holistic view of the body in the sense that it follows the concept that all physical dysfunction can be corrected through reparation of the energy production. This is because the entire system, at every location, organ, and tissue in the body requires energy to perform its functions.
Damage, dysfunction, and disease can all be seen as cellular energy impairments at a certain location in the body.
